ERECTED:  The node first went on the air at Ed's house in Saratoga in 2001; moved to hospital site in April 2002.
COMMENTS:  Some of this equipment was originally acquired by Roy WO5A to go at Murfreesboro, but job constraints kept him from ever getting it on the air. He donated the equipment to whomever would put it up in the area and it ended up in the hands of Ed KB5RYP who first put it on at his home. Perserverence and patience eventually led to a move to the hospital at Nashville. It will serve as an important link to counties and nodes in Southwest Arkansas.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:  Thanks to the Howard County Emergency Amateur Radio Club for the donation of the antenna, triplexer and lightning arrestor. Thanks to J.B. N5THS for getting the permission to get on the hospital tower, to Don KB5SSW for the power supply, and to both of them for their support of APN!! Thanks to Maurice N5BAB for the antenna mount that he made and donated, and for his help in getting it installed. Also thanks to Bud W7JON, Bill KC5TTC, Milton KC5JTE, Mavis KD5OUM & friend, Chad KD5GIU and Linda KD5OUN for their help getting the equipment installed at the site. - Ed KB5RYP
