The Stealth Antenna Page!

by K5UZ

Welcome to the newest edition to the arkansashams.org website.  The purpose of this page is to present various ideas on how the clever amateur can disguise his or her antenna system as to not bother the nosey non-ham neighbors.  Remember, your CC&R needs to be followed and the intent of this page is not to encourage anyone to violate any contractual agreements.  Please consult an ARRL volunteer consultant, city council or your local building code authority before proceeding with that antenna project.

Can you find the 75/80m directional array in this picture??

Look closely: This is one element of a full sized 75/80m Four Square array at K5UZ.  The array consists of four full sized 1/4 λ verticals spaced 1/4 λ apart with elevated radials 10 ft above the ground!  Total area is 195' x  195' out to out on radials.  This array provides the equivalent "punch" of a 3el yagi.  The XYL and the neighbors don't even know it's there, even in the dead of winter.  CQ DX!

Hybrid coupler, dummy load and toolbox.                                        Typ. feed point with radials, RF choke and CW/SSB relay.

MORE TO COME!!
